Already mentioned in the city statutes of 1366, the event takes place every year on the first Sunday of September. The alleys of the city are populated with warriors, ladies, commoners and merchants. The competition between the ten municipalities of the ancient Scodosia sees the contenders face each other to secure the coveted prize: a cloth painted by important contemporary artists.
